Decendant, Virginia Gooder (mother Evelyn Byers Gooder) autosomal DNA test shows Byers ancestors lived in Devon & Cornwall, England. “Byers” spelling found in Devon, not Cornwall. Also shows Byers family were Early Connecticut and Northeast New York Settlers. Logical as this John Byers lived in Pennsylvania.

Centre County, Pennsylvania (Map It) was created on February 13, 1800, from parts of Lycoming County, Mifflin County, Huntingdon County and Northampton County.
